Result Categories:
Valid
Domain has active mail server (MX records verified)
Risky
No dedicated mail server (A record fallback only)
Invalid
Cannot receive emails (syntax error, no DNS records)
How it works: The system verifies that domains have active mail servers (MX records) via DNS-over-HTTPS.
Emails with proper MX records are marked Valid as the domain can receive mail.
Domains using only A record fallback are Risky (no dedicated mail server).
Limitation: Individual mailbox verification (checking if user@domain.com specifically exists)
requires SMTP handshake on port 25, which browsers cannot perform. For mailbox-level verification,
use a server-side solution or third-party API (ZeroBounce, NeverBounce, Hunter.io, etc.).
